Karen Fadely Craig
Director, Millenium Challenge Corporation

.Karen is currently a Director at the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) where she has led program development and implementation teams and environment and social performance for over $1+ billion of US-funded programs in energy, agriculture, transportation, and water and sanitation in countries around the world. She recently led the development and approval of a $300M bilateral agreement between MCC and the Government of Lesotho with projects in health systems strengthening, horticulture, and business environment strengthening. She spent two years living in Malawi as MCC’s Deputy Resident Country Director for the $351M energy program.

Prior to joining MCC, Karen was a project manager at ICF International leading multi-disciplinary teams on infrastructure and policy projects for public and private clients both domestically and internationally. Throughout her career, Karen has enjoyed volunteering for international development organizations and environmental or science education organizations.

Karen has a master's in environmental management degree from the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University and a bachelor of science in biology degree from Bucknell University. Karen first traveled to and fell in love with Africa as a study-abroad student at School for International Training in Arusha, Tanzania. She currently lives in Kensington, Maryland with her husband and twin daughters.
